People Living and Battling Cancer: Top Foods to Avoid 


I came across an article in the International Food Journal Microbial (1993) by David Lawrence Dewey, who is passionate about spreading the truth about orthodox medicine and alternative routes to wellness. In a presentation to the World Health Organization, he published a study that showcases how specific ingredients in the foods we consume are really the killers and exacerbators of cancer within our bodies. Foods that are acidic forming, fungal producing, processed foods and ones that are inflammatory should be taught to all people living with cancer, trying to beat it or have survived cancer. His information made a lot of sense to read and I thought I would highlight many of the specifics.

"Dewey suggests that the optimal way to go about eating to starve cancer is to have a daily dose of 45% of vegetables, fruits, carbohydrates, 25% of lean meat proteins, (either consuming 30% in good fats or cooking in good oils, etc) and eat occasional fresh fruits for dessert as long as they are fresh and not older than 3-4 days after purchase.

 Here are the highlights of the article:

Pleomorphic bacteria, yeast, and fungus and their toxins (present in stored, processed and fermented foods) produce mycotoxins which cause disease and should never be ingested.
Most cooked foods will kill most all of the fungus but refrigerating them or using them cold will directly put fungus into the body.
By preventing the consumption of the following foods, cancer cells will have a smaller chance to multiply and immune systems will be stronger.

Top Foods To Avoid:

✘ Pig by-products and meat

Sausage, bacon, salami, and ham

✘  Animal meat and poultry

No more than 8 oz max. a day, including beef, lamb, chicken, and turkey contain the fungi Aspergillus ochraceus which produces the mycotoxin Ochratoxin A, associated with many cancers.

✘ Tobacco

Embodies yeasts and sugars which ferment the tobacco into the form which reaches the human blood and tissues causing disbiosis of the blood and tissues leading to every degenerative disease known including cancer, diabetes, arthritis, etc

✘ Mushrooms

Mushrooms are fungus, and when eaten (for people with cancer) it disperses the seed-like spores of the fungus throughout the blood and tissues. Never eat raw mushrooms and never eat left over mushrooms because fungus will proliferate.

✘ Corn and all associated products

Corn and all associated products (GMO or not) contain over 25 different strains of fungus, all disease causing, while several are cancer causing.

✘ Peanuts and cashews

Raw and uncooked Peanuts and cashews contain over 27 different strains of fungus (high levels of cancer causing fungus)

✘ Barley

Raw or cold barley contains a fungi called Aspergillus ochraceus, which produces the mycotoxin Ochratoxin A. associated with many documented cancers.


Wine and especially the fermented beer. contain the fungus Aspergillus ochraceus which produces the mycotoxin Ochratoxin A. and suppresses the immune system, is very acidic to the body and induces colds and illness.

✘ Dairy products

Milk, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, ice-cream, butter are fully colonized with fungi, contain the fungus Aspergillus ochraceus which produces the mycotoxin Ochratoxin A. They are also very high in sugar and promotes production of pleomorphic bacteria, yeast, and fungus. Yogurt with live cultures and probiotics are fine to eat as well as heated cheese, but limit to under 6 oz. daily

✘ Eggs

Colonized with fungus and contaminated with mycotoxins but cooking eggs kills all the fungus

✘Grains and Cereals

Stored Grains and Cereals eaten cold are full of mycotoxins. Heating them is fine.

✘Potatoes, sweet potatoes and yam

Stored potatoes, sweet potatoes and yams embodies fungus and are contaminated with mycotoxins. Make sure you cook, boil or bake them prior to eating.

✘All sugars

Honey, maple syrup, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, rice syrup, barley malt promote the growth of pleomorphic bacteria, yeast, fungus, and mold and suppress the immune system response up to five hours after consumption. Avoid drinks that use sweeteners and all fruit juices containing any form of corn syrup.

✘Vinegar or apple cider vinegar

Acidifies the blood and tissues which promotes the production of bacteria, yeast, fungus, and mold. (Take another look at Kumbucha for people with cancer). Use no more than 2-3 teaspoons of vinegar daily.


Yeast in any form including Brewers Yeast. Too much can cause yeast infections and Candidiasis Albicans.


Caffeine in any form acidifies the blood and tissues which promotes the production of pleomorphic baceast, fungus and mold. If you MUST drink some tea or coffee or have some chocolate, make sure it is organic and in tiny amounts.

✘ Dried fish

Dried fish contains the Aspergillus fungus and the extracts from the dried fish contains large amounts of aflatoxin. Never eat raw fish. Never eat cold or refrigerated fish or farmed fish and eat only up to 4 oz. of packed tuna daily (not in can) if fish consumption is a must.

✘ Anything hydrogenated

Stay clear of anything hydrogenated, partially hydrogenated oils (margarine, shortenings and vegetable oils) which are altered fat substances which are known to be detrimental to health because they interfere with normal biochemical processes. Stay away from hydrolyzed as well.

✘ Do not from consume more than 25 percent of vitamin K

Dark leafy green vegetables, if using the orthodox route of cancer fighting. Vitamin K is a blood building and clotting agent that may interfere with the body's ability to clot, especially when mixed with chemotherapy and other orthodox cancer fighting drugs. "
